Pelargonium is an extract from the root of the Pelargonium sidoides. The root is found in South Africa and has been used in traditional medicine since early times. It has been successfully used for the treatment of chronic respiratory illnesses such as bronchitis and pneumonia.

ALLEGED USES:

Treatment of chronic and acute infections (especially infections of the respiratory system). Treatment for throat, nose, and ear related infections, such as bronchitis, sinusitis, tonsillitis and rhinopharyngitis. It is used as a herbal alternative to antibiotics.

SUGGESTED DOSAGES:

Children with respiratory system infections under the age of 6 years, 5-10 drops, 3 times a day

6-12 years, 10-20 drops, 3 times a day

12 years +, 20 –30 drops, 3 times a day

Adults with respiratory system infections.

In acute cases: 20-30 drops, 3 times a day

In chronic cases: 10-20 drops, 3 times a day

CONTRA-INDICATIONS & CAUTIONS:

Do not use during pregnancy and lactation. It should be avoided by hypersensitives and those with severe liver and kidney diseases due to limited case studies.
